Tiger Cub Safari is an exciting weekend for only Tigers and an adult partner to enjoy! Pack 454 had a blast last year. It was an exciting and educational camping trip for our Scouts. The Tigers explored the great outdoors, went rowing, tried archery, fishing and BB guns. They bonded over campfires and made memories that will last a lifetime. The camp is located at the Wente Scout Reservation in Willets, CA. Tents, all meals, snacks, HOT showers, and flushing toilets are provided!
"We often remember our firsts, and this camp is designed to make these firsts great memories for life."

Step 1 - watch Tiger Camp Safari's TCS Camp Orientation video
Step 2 - What TO bring:
For sleeping, tents are provided, but you should consider bringing a tarp or ground cloth, a sleeping pad, a good sleeping bag, and a pillow. Some people find more comfort placing their own (2 or 3 person) tent within our Boy Scout standard canvas A-frame tents.
For food, all meals are provided including a Saturday night snack after campfire. In scouts, we call this a "crackerbarrel."
For clothing, the weather can vary. At a minimum, you should bring an extra pair of closed-toed shoes, a warm jacket, a hat, a swimsuit, your scout uniform and an extra pair of socks, shoes, long pants, shirt, and undergarments. Currently, rain is in the forecast. Please bring your rain gear or poncho. A quick link to the weather forecast in provided below.
For protection and comfort, you should bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellent, a flashlight (with extra batteries), and toiletries.
For program activities, all stations are adequately supplied for all of your needs, including bamboo fishing rods and plenty of bait. However, if you prefer to use your own rod and reel, please feel free to bring it along.
However, the most important items to bring to camp are a patient and pleasant attitude with an ability to have lots of fun AND a camera (with spare batteries) because you will want to share your memorable fun with family and friends at home for many years to come.
No electronic toys, such as I-Pads, handheld video games, etc....
We want our scouts to enjoy the natural surroundings and camping experience.
No alcoholic beverages (including "near" versions)
As adults, we lead best by setting the right example.
No firearms or tobacco.
If you need to use tobacco, we have designated certain camp areas for such use.
No open-toed shoes
Hurt toes and feet make for a very long weekend.
No foods or scented lotions
Our very curious camp critters have sensitive noses. Any food brought into camp will need to be kept in the kitchen by our grub staff.
The Scout Motto is "Be Prepared", as such it is always worth checking the National Weather Service prior to going into the outdoors: Click Here for the latest weather information.
If rain is in the forecast, the camp will still go on. We are prepared. You should be too with a proper rain jacket, rain pants, or a rain poncho. A second pair of shoes make the ride home more comfortable.
If sun is in the forecast, remember a hat and some sunscreen.
Tips for chilly weather; bring a beenie and gloves (and use them, especially to sleep with), bring a hoodie sweatshirt, and hand warmers. Wear only dry clothing to bed with clean socks. ....Veteran tip = put a hand warmer into the foot of your sleeping bag before bedtime.
If you forget anything, our Camp Trading Post is equipped with ponchos, sunscreen, beverages, snacks, and much more.
